Have you ever wondered if there was some kind of guide to living a deeper, richer spiritual life?—one that seamlessly incorporated scripture alongside the wisdom of the Church?
Perhaps there is—and you can find it in a pew rack near you! Come, find out as The Rev. Dr. Derek Olsen shows how everyday Christians can grow closer to God, providing a guide to Prayer Book spirituality open to all.
Dr. Derek Olsen will be the Conference Leader. He earned the Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology degrees from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology prior to serving as pastoral vicar of a large Lutheran (ELCA) church in the Atlanta suburbs.
Before beginning his doctoral studies, Dr. Olsen became an engaged layman in The Episcopal Church and was subsequently received into the Church. He completed the Ph.D. degree in New Testament at Emory University in 2011 and is married to an Episcopal priest.
Dr. Olsen’s publications include: St. Augustine Prayer Book (Liturgical Editor), Reading Matthew with Monks; and The Honey of the Souls. He is currently working on Psalming with Christ and you can connect with him at The St. Bede Blog.
